CIAC welcomes new member, Inter Pipeline, as well as new Responsible Care partner, Source Energy and new associate member, Wood

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) welcomed new member Inter Pipeline this month. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Inter Pipeline is a major petroleum transportation, storage and natural gas liquids processing business whose pipeline systems span over 7,800 kilometres and transport approximately 1.4 million barrels per day.

“With Inter Pipeline’s strong commitment to health, safety and sustainability, joining CIAC was a natural fit. We look forward to working with the other Canadian chemistry sector leaders that make up CIAC’s membership,” said David Chappell, Senior Vice President, Petrochemical Development at Inter Pipeline.

“We are very happy to be welcoming Inter Pipeline as a new full member, and we are very encouraged with the work they are doing to grow Alberta’s petrochemical industry. This was recently demonstrated by their $3.5 billion investment in a new plant in Alberta announced late last year,” said Bob Masterson, CIAC President and CEO.

“Inter Pipeline has made the commitment to Responsible Care®, the chemistry industry’s UN-recognized sustainability initiative, which will help ensure they continue their excellent record of safety, community engagement and sustainable operations.”

This month, CIAC also welcomed as new Responsible Care partner, Source Energy Services, and new associate member, Wood.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Source Energy Services is a fully integrated producer, supplier and distributer of high-quality northern white sand proppant. It provides its customers with a full end-to-end solution through its Wisconsin mines, processing facilities, rail assets, strategically located terminal network and last mile logistics operations.
