Done every 3 years by a team of independent industry experts, and supported by one or more community members, the verification process is a mandatory requirement of

Responsible Care^®. The process involves interviews with senior management, site visits, document reviews and an offsite meeting with local representatives. The focus is company practices with respect to their operations, community relations and sustainability performance.

The verification reports are available on CIAC’s website which allows employees, community members and government agencies to measure the progress made by Responsible Care® member companies.
