Responsible Care Partners

Chemistry Industry Association of Canada members are not alone in making Responsible Care® a central part of how they do business. Partner companies also adopt the Responsible Care ethic and commit themselves to its principles. All of the benefits and expectations of Responsible Care apply equally to our Responsible Care Partners. To see a list of Responsible Care® Partners, see our membership page.

In addition to Partners, the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada has a Responsible Care® Partnership with the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors (CACD) that recognizes Responsible Distribution as equivalent to Responsible Care for distribution companies. Companies verified to meet the first stage of Responsible Distribution are eligible to apply for licensed use of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada's Responsible Care logos and trademarks. The Chemistry Industry Association members value the Responsible Distribution initiative as a key means to ensure safe handling of chemicals as part of the product stewardship cycle. The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada is also proud to have the Alliance for Environmental Technology (AET) as a Responsible Care® Supporting Association. The AET is an international association of chemical manufacturers dedicated to improving the environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry. AET was created to establish a clearinghouse of educational and technical resources relating to chlorine dioxide and its use in papermaking. AET has signed a Responsible Care Supporting Association Agreement with the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada to demonstrate its commitment to spreading the Responsible Care ethic and commitments across their membership.
